Dirk: (acting tough) What did you say your name was again?

Hans: Hans Yoder. And this is my dog Skippy.

Dirk: (laughs, purposely mispronounces his name) Hands Yooooder, that’s a dumb name.

Hans: (angry) It’s not Hands Yooooder! My name is Hans Yoder, and it’s not a dumb name. You take that back!

Dirk: Why should I?

Hans: Because I don’t like that! It’s not nice to make fun of someone’s name.

Dirk: (continuing to harass Hans, getting "in his face.") Hands Yooooder, Hands Yooooder, he’s got slime on his shoulder!

Hans: Stop it Dirk!

Dirk: What if I don’t? What are you gonna do, cry?

(Skippy begins to growl and bark at Dirk)

Dirk: (backing off) Okay, okay, call off your hound! What’s his problem—can’t he take a joke?

Hans: You better watch out Dirk. Skippy is very protective of this family. I wouldn’t mess with me if I were you.

Dirk: Oh yeah, well he doesn’t look like much of a watch dog to me.

Hans: Well he is, and he’s real smart too.

Dirk: Whatever. You just keep that mutt away from me. I don’t want to catch any of his fleas.

Skippy: (Growls) Fleas! I’ll show you fleas! (lunges towards Dirk and barks).
