Our adventures begin with a group of
puppet characters participating in a game of survival in an African Serengeti
Safari. The puppet characters face challenges each week that,
depending on their performance, can get them voted off the safari. Their
goal is to be the only person not voted off the safari, thereby winning the
title of Ultimate Survivor, and a grand prize trip. Their adventures
parallel King David's life throughout this series.

Who will Survive?
 |
Angelina
"If I had known there wasn't going to be any
electricity on this Safari I wouldn't have come in the first
place. Can anyone direct me to the nearest J.C.
Penney's?"
|
 |
Dexter
"I am going to win this game because I am so smart. If
you gave me a Q-tip, dental floss, and a curtain I could build you a
house. Nobody here can match my brains." |
 |
Johnny
"I came here to play this game because I
thought it would be fun. I would like to win this game but if
I don't, I will be happy if I can just make a new friend." |
 |
Shamequa
"I love playing sports. I am better than
all the boys at my school. I am going win this game because I am in
great shape. I can outlast anyone on this team!" |
 |
Sarge
"I don't take orders from anyone! I am
always right and my way is always best. If you disagree with
me, you will be sorry! I've got this game in the bag." |
 |
Sweet Sue
"I'm soooo sweet. I am super nice to everyone. I
am just too sweet to vote off the safari. I wish everyone the best of
luck." |
 |
Dave
"I am just an ordinary guy. I don't know if I have
what it takes to win this game or not, but I'm not afraid to try new
things. Maybe that will be enough." |
 |
Madge
"I like to sweat and get dirty. I'm
strong and tough and I will do what ever it takes to make sure I
win." |
What happens when it's
not just a game?
David was a player in a real
game of survival. He faced ferocious lions and bears, was pitted
against a giant, ran for his life from a vicious King, and was tempted by
a beautiful woman, which caused him to commit murder. Yet, David was a
survivor. Through his life, we get a glimpse of God’s love,
protection and forgiveness, and we learn
how we too, can be a survivor in the game of life.
